The reading of this text is of similar benefits for the bhaktas. This dharmika grantha contains the heart-touching, path-showing, grief-healing stories of great bhaktas of Bhagavan, like Prahlada, Dhruva, Gajendra and also has a great part of it devoted to describe the leelas of Sri Krishna. The text of Bhagavata is usually chanted in 1 week following a traditional way, called the Bhagavata Saptaaha. A discourse usually accompanies the parayanam
