Decorate the lamp with Candana and Kuṅkuma</li> <li>Seat for the person performing worship – Wooden plank / Pūjā Mat</li> <li>Coins for offering – 2 nos</li> <li>Pure water – fill the Pancapātra with water and have some extra available in a vessel</li> <li>Haridrā (Turmeric) 25g – in a small cup</li> <li>Kuṅkuma (Kumkum) 25g – in a small cup</li> <li>Candana (Sandal powder) – 2 teaspoons in a small cup dissolved in a few drops of water to make a paste</li> <li>Akṣata (Take 50g Raw rice, add a tsp of Ghee and a tsp of Turmeric and mix well. Take the prepared Akṣata in a small cup)</li> <li>Cotton wicks – 10. A small quantity of honey / honey-ghee / honey-curd mixture can be taken separately for Madhuparka).</li> <li>Cotton cloth/blouse piece </li> <li>Upavīta (sacred thread) </li> <li>Bangles / other auspicious ornaments </li> <li>Naivedya – Śālyanna / Pāyasa / other dishes can be prepared as per family tradition. Any available dry/fresh fruits/jaggery/sugar crystals can also be used. The most important is to perform the pūjā with śraddhā and bhakti. </li> </ul>
